O.K., I have a special affinity for birds. I had a few parakeets for long periods of time as a youngster. My Dad brought them home from a person who raised them in Shiner, Texas. He brought them to me when they were just barely old enough to leave the nest (very shy).
Treated as gentle as possible, they became extreme extroverts and pretty much (lovingly) ruled everyone in the house. Pretty Boy was my favorite–he spoke about 15 words, but constantly made noises that sounded like conversation. He loved his little ladder, his little figure eight weighted toy that he would knock around, his mirror, and loved dropping pennies while turning his head to listen to the sound.
Thank you for showing the Einstein video and bringing back those sweet memories. That parrot is WONDERFUL. Most people don’t realize how intelligent birds can be.
